The client hospitals are situated in Riyadh, Jeddah, Dammam and Al Hasa - the mission of these four hospitals is to provide the highest quality of primary, secondary and tertiary health care services to residents of our community, the region and the surrounding Middle Eastern countries. The Hospital in Al Hasa is a 300-bed capacity and provides primary and secondary patient care.
Including: Outpatient Clinics, Pharmacy, four Operating Rooms and Day Surgery Operation Room. It also includes eight beds for Haemodialysis, Physical Therapy Department, Radiology Department, Endoscopy, ER, ICU, Obstetrics & Gynaecology Department with two rooms for caesareans and six L & D rooms. Wards include: Male and Female patient wards, Gynaecology, Obstetrics and female surgery. male surgical ophthalmology, ENT and a VIP ward.

Job Title: Supervisor, Toxicology
Responsible to: 1. Head of Toxicology Section for all medical and direct patient care related matters.

Basic Function:
Within the mission, vision and values of the Hospital, supervises all aspects of a division in the Laboratory as defined in the organizational chart and to ensure that standards and quality are met efficiently according to the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Principal Duties:
1. Ensures compliance in accordance with the Joint Commission of International Accreditation (JCIA), College of American Pathologists (CAP) and our Hopsital Laboratory standards.
2. Ensures compliance with Hospital policies and safety standards and in particular Fire & Disaster Plans, Laboratory Health & Safety Standards, and Hazardous Materials Manual.
3. Supervises the day-to-day delivery of laboratory service.
4. Supervises the employees pertaining to his/her section, which may include the following employees:
Medical Technologist I, Medical Technologist II, Laboratory Technician, Phlebotomist and Runner.
5. Assists the Section Head with manpower plans of the Section of Toxicology.
6. Ensures that materials, reagents and supplies are available and participate in the tenders related to the Section.
7. Generates, maintains, and updates the section's Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
8. Monitors reagents, equipment function, and preventive maintenance.
9. Ensures documentation of section quality improvement activities.
10. Ensures proper evaluation of staff within the Section of Toxicology.
11. Analyzes laboratory computer applications in order to manage data.
12. Participates in teaching, training, training verification, competency testing, and continuing medical education (CME) activities.
13. Prepares monthly workload statistics.
14. Work on a 24-hour on-call shift (roster).
15. Prepare the monthly staff schedule.
16. Performs other duties as directed or assigned.

Essential and Preferred Requirements: (E-Essential, P-Preferred, B-Beneficial)

Education:
Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology (or equivalent), and/or be a Certified Medical Technologist or MLSO with current registration (E). Masters Degree (P)

Work Experience: Five years of post licensure experience with at least two years experience in a major (400+ bed) hospital or laboratory as a senior technologist (E). Prior management experience, a proven track record and formal management training (P).
Computer literacy: Expert (Intermediate Level) (E)
English language skills: Skilled (Levell) (E)
