The hospital is the national referral centre for Oncology, Organ Transplantation, Cardiovascular Diseases, Neurosciences and Genetic Diseases. Benefits include: -tax free salary + SIGN ON BONUS 5000USD, when signing for two year initial contract. -free furnished accommodation -about 50 days annual leave -flights paid annually -free medical care and emergency dental service JOB TITLE: SITE ENGINEER (Mechanical) RESPONSIBLE TO: HEAD, PROJECT SUPERVISION BASIC FUNCTION: Supervision of construction work as per contract documents and approved shop drawings ad materials. Field surveying using level, theodolite and other surveying equipment PRINCIPAL DUTIES: • Conduct site supervision of on-going projects. • Maintain files of the approved shop drawings and approved material samples. • Check and implement safety and fire protection measures and environmental control and general cleaning of project sites in compliance with Hospital Standards. • Inspection of material upon arrival according to approved samples and submittals and ensures safe storage • Plan, organize and perform survey work to determine the precise location according to approved set of plans. • Establish with the contractor on site, accurate grid lines and permanent benchmarks. • Conduct Inspection of assigned project works as per approved shop drawings. • Submit daily report for each site. • Coordinate between contractor and different Hospital Departments as required during the construction of projects. • Participates In Self and Hospital’s quality improvement plan preferred. • Follows all Hospital related Policies and Procedures. • Participates in self and others education, training and development, as applicable. • Performs any other related duties as assigned. EDUCATION: Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering. Fluency in English, both written and oral is required. EXPERIENCE & OTHER QUALIFICATIONS: Experience from maintaining or building hospitals/health care facilities is necessary. Four (4) years experience on construction sites in a supervisory position. Skilled in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, Primavem and / or Microsoft Projects and engineering calculation software. |
