The Hospital is the closest hospital to the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games Park and is the designated hospital for the Park. The Paediatric Service provides a comprehensive services for the children of Hackney. There is a dedicated Children’s Emergency Department, observation and assessment area, short stay admission/in patient unit and also a children’s out patient department, all housed in a purpose built child friendly environment. The Paediatric unit is recognised a national beacon of good practice for children’s emergency and ambulatory services. You will be based in the Children’s Ward with the potential opportunity to rotate through Children’s Accident and Emergency and Paediatric Outpatients. You will have excellent communication skills and the ability to work using your own initiative as well as working effectively within a team. You will understand the importance of patient care and be able to demonstrate ability in the assessment, planning, provision and evaluation of care of sick children and be able to make effective decisions in partnership with children, families & the multi-disciplinary team. |
