Forbes is a rural community with a population of 10,160 (ABS 30/06/2001). The population has a high proportion of children and young adults. Forbes is five hours drive form Sydney. Position Summary The position is responsible for the provision of mental health services consistent with contemporary mental health policy and evidence based practice to children and adolescents experiencing mental health problems/disorders and their families through case management and specific interventions. Work in collaboration with other service providers and be mindful of the needs of parents/carers, Aboriginal and CALD communities. Essentials 1. Registered Nurse A List, NSW Nurses Registration Board 2. Experience working in Mental Health or Child and Youth Services with an understanding of psychotropic medication and ability to administer medication. . 3. Current Licence to drive in NSW and ability to drive long distances with willingness for overnight stays. |
