The patient population includes Saudi and non-Saudi Nationals, 14 years of age and up. Patients are admitted with various hematological disorders, including: • Acute and Chronic Leukemia • Aplastic Anemia • Multiple Myeloma • Sickle Cell Anemia • Burkitt’s Lymphoma • Thalassemia • Myelodysplastic Syndrome • ITP; TTP E-1 serves supervision from senior staff nurses to Nursing students, including interns and interim staff nurses. Frequent Procedures/Services/Functions • Medication delivery including chemotherapy administration and management • Blood product administration • Central/peripheral IV line management • Bone marrow biopsy and aspiration • Lumbar puncture • Patient assessment and evaluation (frequent hemodynamic monitoring) • Patient/family education • Oxygen therapy and pulse oximetry • Neutropenic isolation (and other as required) • Nutritional support (TPN, weights) • Wound and skin care • BMT work-up • Psychosocial support • Pain control Hours of Operation 24 hours per day, 7 days a week FULL JOB DESCRIPTION AVAILABLE ON APPLICATION |
