| Description | Our Client Hospital is a 900 bedded tertiary referral hospital. The trust is proud to be one of the best performing North Central London trusts particularly for MRSA and Mortality rates (best performing), readmission rates in top 2 best performing. The services include a major accident and emergency service, all branches of surgery and medicine, a renal service serving the whole of north London, paediatrics, maternity services, care of elderly people, an adolescent psychiatric service and one of two high security infectious diseases units in the country.
They are renowned for their specialist services including liver, kidney and bone marrow transplantation, renal, AIDS/HIV, infectious diseases, plastic surgery, immunology, paediatric gastroenterology, ENT surgery and audiological medicine, amyloidosis and scleroderma. The Hospital is a leading cancer centre with a range of specialist diagnostic and treatment services in oncology and haematology and a major neuroscience base with a network extending throughout north London and into the Home Counties. There are associated internationally recognised research and training programmes. The post is located in our specialist Ear Nose and Throat hospital situated in Central London. It has a Main Theatre suite and a designated Day Surgery suite. All of these theatres perform a wide range of ENT procedures form minor to complex Ear, Nose and Throat surgery. We are inviting applications for 2 experienced Operating department/Day Surgery Practitioners, who can demonstrate good management skills and a sound knowledge of Day Surgery and Operating department practice. The applicants must show a willingness to become multi-skilled practitioners in all theatre disciplines. The post holder must work in an advanced clinical role, developing and teaching nursing within the service. The post holder will work closely with the Main Theatre team, Multi-disciplinary team, patients and their families. You must have significant experience at Band 5 level in Operating department/Day Surgery environments. Post graduate qualifications in Theatre/Anaesthetics/Day surgery specialities and Teaching and Assessing are essential. |
