Europe's largest unit for the treatment of cystic fibrosis is based at the Hospital: The hospital is the country's largest centre for the treatment of adult congenital heart disease An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Cardiothoracic Nurse to take on the role of Ward Manager. The ward is a 34 bedded ward caring for pre and post op cardiothoracic patients. The successful candidate will have proven clinical and people management experience at a Senior Staff Nurse level within cardiothoracics and have a strong desire to maintain a high standard of patient care within this demanding clinical area. They will work closely with the Senior Nurse/ Clinical Services Manager, Modern Matron and the Ward Managers of the 4 other wards within the Division. The post holder will be responsible for leading a large team of staff and ensure that they and their staff all work as a team to deliver a cohesive and effective clinical environment for patients, relatives, and for staff. - Minimum of 5 years post reg plus 2 years in C/T field - Relevant teaching certificate - Relevant Post basis course - Experience in change management |
