DescriptionOur Client Hospital Trust is the largest specialist heart and lung centre in the UK and among the largest in Europe. The hospital is a partnership of two specialist hospitals in London which are known throughout the world for their expertise. Each year between 500 and 600 papers by researchers associated with the Trust are published in peer-reviewed scientific journals, such as The Lancet and New England Journal of Medicine.

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated Nurse / ODP to strengthen and provide a valuable contribution to the Team in Anesthetics Participation in the on-call Rota is essential.

It is essential that you are an RGN / Registered ODP with significant experience within theatre, cardiothoracic experience would be an advantage. It would be desirable that you have ENB 176/182/183.

We can offer a departmental orientation program along with support to undertake Theatre Courses and opportunities to participate in monthly Academic program.
On-going training and education is encouraged.

Job Description
The post holder will work closely with the senior staff and multi-disciplinary team members in monitoring and maintaining excellent clinical standards of clinical practice and staff development as part of the theatre team.

As a member of the surgical / anaesthetic theatre team perform the tasks of scrub nurse/ anaesthetic assistant following all checks and procedures as laid down in National / Theatre Policy.
