The Hospital in Al Hasa is a 300-bed capacity and provides primary and secondary patient care. Including: Outpatient Clinics, Pharmacy, four Operating Rooms and Day Surgery Operation Room. It also includes eight beds for Haemodialysis, Physical Therapy Department, Radiology Department, Endoscopy, ER, ICU, Obstetrics & Gynaecology Department with two rooms for caesareans and six L & D rooms. Wards include: Male and Female patient wards, Gynaecology, Obstetrics and female surgery. male surgical ophthalmology, ENT and a VIP ward. Essential/Preferred Education & Experience Requirements: (P-Preferred, E- Essential, B-Beneficial) Registered Nurse with a current Nursing license - E Diploma in Nursing (Western standard) - E Bachelor Degree in Nursing (Western standard) - P Three (3) years current clinical experience in specific area - E Unit Pediatric Intensive Care Unit Type of unit Pediatric Critical Care Number of Beds 6 Bedded but at present 4 opened beds Occupancy Rate 66% based on 2007 census 1 day old- 12 years Primary Diagnosis on Unit Multi discipline Pediatrics. Nursing Procedures and Treatment Performed Respiratory Infections, Gastroenterology, Genito urinary, Cardiac Anomalies/ Failures, Metabolic Disorder/ Imbalance, Inhalation Injuries, Chronic/ Acute Liver Failure, Shock, Multi system Failure Pain Management, Renal Disorders, General Surgery, MVA/ Trauma, Neuro Disorders: Meningitis, Status Epilepticus, Seizures • Conventional Ventilation Support • High Frequency Oscillation • Intubation/ Extubation • Tracheostomy Tube Change and Care • IV Therapy- Initiation and Care • Central and Arterial line- insertion and Care • Hemodynamic Monitoring- Arterial and Central venous pressure, EKG • ICP monitoring • Epidural Analgesia and PCA care • Administration of Vasopressin/ Inotropes, Blood and Blood products. • Continuous Peritoneal Dialysis (CPD) • Spinal Taps • Chest Tube- Insertion and Management • Brain Death Protocol • Neonatal Exchange Blood Transfusion • Conscious Sedation |
